50/50 All-School Art Show

The Art Institute of Phoenix Pride Club

Who can enter?

  • Any current or new student, staff, or faculty member at The Art Institute of Phoenix (with a $5.00 entry fee per piece)

What can I enter?

  • Any type of art, painting, drawing, photography, or computer generated artwork.
  • Artwork may not be larger than 11”x17”.
  • All artwork must be framed and be ready to hang.
  • You may enter as many pieces as you like, $5.00 fee for each piece entered.

What can I win?

  • For just a $5.00 entry fee you could win BIG!
  • Best-In-Show – Wins CASH, 50% of the TOTAL ENTRY AND ADMISSIONS FEES.
  • First Place – Wins a $30 Gift Certificate to The Art Institute of Phoenix Art Supply Store.
  • Second Place – Wins a $20 Gift Certificate to The Art Institute of Phoenix Art Supply Store.
  • Third Place – Wins a $10 Gift Certificate to The Art Institute of Phoenix Art Supply Store.
  • 10 Merit Awards – 10 Merit Award winners will receive a “College for Creative Minds T-Shirt”.

How do I enter?

  1. Deliver your artwork –
    1. Present your artwork and a $5.00 entry fee to members of the Pride Club during week 2 of the Summer quarter, July 21-23.
    2. Members of the Pride Club will be in front of the elevators collecting artwork Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, July 21-23.
    3. Complete the following forms when you drop off artwork –
      1. Entry form, Release form, and Artwork label.
      2. Attend the opening night reception and awards presentation –
        1. There will be a $5.00 admission fee to attend the open night reception.  This fee is also part of the 50/50 Best-In-Show prize.  Artists who have work on display do not have to pay to attend the opening.
        2. The opening night reception and awards presentation will take place on Friday, August 7, from 6pm to 8pm at The Art Institute of Phoenix Gallery Café.
        3. Live music and refreshments will be included.
        4. Pick-up your artwork –
          1. On Monday, August 17, sign-out for your artwork at the front reception desk before removing.

Please Note:

  • Invite friends, family, and co-workers to the opening night reception, Friday August 7, the more people that attend and pay the $5.00 opening night admission fee, the bigger the 50/50 Best-In-Show prize will be!
  • Artwork can only be dropped-off and picked-up on designated days and times above.
  • All artwork must be displayed for the entire length of the show July 24-August 17.
  • The Art Institute of Phoenix reserves the right to display artwork at the school’s discretion.
